Invitation to participate in 1st Annual Ph.D. Symposium: "Advances in Biological and Medical Engineering"

We are pleased to invite you to the 1st Annual PhD Symposium: "Advances in Biological and Medical Engineering". This Symposium is organized by the Ph.D. students of the IIBM for the community of IIBM, but it is also open to the diverse set of fields that comprise the discipline. This symposium is exclusively presential to be realized in Aulas Lassen, AL4 room (to be confirmed).

For the symposium, we are calling for abstracts for 3 min presentations and posters, the deadline is October 17th. Furthermore, as a Keynote speakers, we are pleased to present as part of our symposium to Dr. Shinji Deguchi from Osaka University. Dr. Deguchi is a full professor at the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Osaka where he leads the Molecular BioMeasurements Group. His investigation aims at developing interdisciplinary approaches based on cutting-edge engineering techniques and analytical tools to understand the essential roles of mechanical factors, such as forces and stiffness, in regulating cell function.
