Christina Schuh holds a degree in Biomedical Civil Engineering from UAS Technikum Wien and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Technische Universität Wien (Austria). Her research examines how extracellular vesicles produced by organisms from different biological kingdoms participate in processes of communication, inflammation, and tissue regeneration. By integrating cell biology, mechanobiology, and biomedical engineering, she seeks to understand how biological and environmental factors modify these interactions and how this knowledge can be translated into new therapeutic strategies. At the same time, she develops sustainable biomaterials and nature-inspired technologies for applications in regenerative medicine, promoting innovative solutions with potential clinical, industrial, and environmental impact.
