With the aim of guiding students in making decisions about their academic and professional paths, the Institute of Biological and Medical Engineering (IIBM) held another edition of the Academic Orientation Day (JOA), an event designed to present the Major in Biomedical Engineering, its specialization options, and the opportunities offered by this discipline.

The event was led by Andrea Ravasio, head of the Biomedical Engineering major, along with students and program coordinators, who shared their experiences and answered attendees’ questions about academic training and career prospects in the field.

During the event, participants were able to learn in detail about the structure of the Major, the associated Minors, options for continuing their academic studies, and the various professional development opportunities offered by Biomedical Engineering—a discipline that integrates knowledge from engineering, biology, and medicine to address health challenges through technological and innovative solutions.

In addition to the program presentation, the event provided an opportunity for dialogue among students, faculty, and representatives of the Institute, promoting the exchange of experiences and providing tools to help students make informed decisions about their academic future.

The Academic Orientation Day is one of the activities organized by the IIBM to introduce its educational programs to the student community, strengthening ties with those seeking to pursue a career that makes an impact in research, innovation, and improving people’s health.
