Summary
D. in Chemical Engineering, she started her research career at IIM-CSIC (Spain). After several years of postdoctoral research at Imperial College London and the University of California Santa Barbara, she worked as a Principal Scientist at Pfizer Inc. where she led pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling projects aimed at personalized medicine.
In 2016, Professor Rodriguez joined the UC Institute of Biological and Medical Engineering as an academic, where she served as Postgraduate Director between 2018 and 2023. She has led multiple interdisciplinary research projects funded by ANID (Fondecyt Regular, Anillo) and is currently Alternate Director of the Center for Cyber-Physical Systems Technology Research (CSP-RTC). Her research focuses on multiscale modeling of physiological systems and the development of human-centered cyberphysical systems. His work combines the study of physiological mechanisms - such as autonomic and cardiovascular responses to extreme conditions, including hypoxia and hypothermia - with the development of computational tools to monitor and predict these responses in real environments.
